So you can still check whether the lambda sensor is working correctly (there's an ISO standard describing the minimum amplitude and frequency at which the signal should fluctuate) but not what the actual AFR is as the sensor only tells the engine "rich or lean."
You can also check the "short term fuel trim" which again helps problem solving but again doesn't give you an AFR/equivalence/Lambda reading. Short term fuel trim is something along the lines of fuel injected % away from requested? Maybe Dan@SJM can remind us exactly what short term fuel trim is?
