SB Audigy 4

Anyone got one?

I'm a bit confused reading the spec.

My current SB Live! has 3 inputs for my surround sound (front/rear/centre+sub - i have 3 jacks from my SS system)

The audigy range only has one output for all of them.... how would I connect my surround sound up to that?

have you got a pic of it mate i think you may have been mis informed.
it has this:
Sound Blaster Audigy 4 On-Board Connectors

* Line level out (Front / Side / Rear / Center)
* Line In
* Microphone In
* Digital I/O (for stereo SPDIF output to Digital I/O Module2)
* Aux Audio In

that's what i meant mate.

The line level out does all 4 as you noted above.

The problem is I have 3x 3.5mm

1x Rear
1x Front
1x Center + Sub

I have an Audigy 2 and it has the following outputs -

1 * 3.5mm Front Left/Right
1 * 3.5mm Rear Left/Rear
1 * 3.5mm Centre/Sub
1 * Mic
1 * Line In
1 * Digital Out
1 * Firewire out

The audigy 4 isnt really a big upgrade form an audigy 2zs to be honest though i dont really think theres much you get different.

If your in the market for a new sound card would look at an X-FI one. what i plan to get next. Currently use an Audigy 2 ZS. And i wouldnt update to the audigy 4 just to get slightly better sound in dvd's as thats pretty much all you get benefits wise. If i rememeber correctly.

I currently have a Sound Blaster Live (16 bit) so any kind of upgrade would be a bonus.

I can't afford to fork out big on an X-Fi. I guess the only upgrade I can have with my current SS is the SB Live 24bit as that does have 3x 3.5mm jacks.

I guess an Audigy 2 would be better than the 24 bit live card though?

audigy 2 zs is a cracking card has the standard 3 x 3.5mm jacks as well.

what about a ZS Value? seems to be loads of those on ebay going cheap?

Crap card, Go for an Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS

from what i can see though the only differences are:

On the value, lack of:

Game Port (don't use)
Firewaire (don't use)
THX certification

Why do you think it's crap?
