Scraping a car.

How do i go about scraping a car, take it all i need to do is take the car to the scrap yard with the V5 and ask them to scrap it, thry sign the V5 and i send it off to the DVLA, job done?

If you phone a car breaker, they'll probably pick it up for you for free, just need your v5 for them to fill in then u send it off.

They might be able to get to Grantham

Driving it against a wall usually scrapes all the paint off.

Took 2 cars to be scraped the last month.

The 1st was a mates and he got the car for free so there was no documents. Just had to say i consented to the scrapping of the car on a form and that was it.

The 2nd one i handed the V5 over and that was it.

Got 60 notes for the 2 cars even though one was a bare shell practically

Not up here where i am they dont. They still give you cash even if they pick it up !!

Most weigh the car and pay you accordingly and others just give you a rough price

There's a boom on in the scrap metal market at the mo
