Searching for a new UPS

  500bhp Scoob
Just powered up again after having a powercut and my Belkin 650VA UPS held out quite well, kept the PC powered for about 10 minutes (obviously used to last longer when new).

Anyways i've had it about 3 years now, and haven't replaced the battery yet, won't really bother either, but I'm currently looking for a new UPS to replace this one, I'll use this one to power a desklamp or something should last a fair while then running a low wattage halogen lamp.

Thinking about getting a APC UPS with about 1000VA, plenty of bargains to be had on Ebay I noticed, obviously some require new batteries.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a "Power User", want to really keep my PC powered for atleast 30minutes.

Cheers

well work out how much power your pc uses first then you can work out how long it will last
batterys for the 1000va's are about 70 i think i have one with out batterys at work doing bugger all

batterys are supposed to be replaced every year
