seized torsion bar

is there anything i can do, i tried the home made tool on weights guide and when i was winding the bolt up it popped out with the threading gone...

any help and advice would be very appreciated.

You bust the thread on the bar/bolt or the torsion bar?

Use shed loads of plusgas before you decide to work.

i had this problem mate

you wont of damaged the thread on the tbar it wil be cheap bolts

if u have acess to a slide hammer get one, weights guide is brill but my t bars were 2 seized for it

i got hi tensile bolts and there threads f**ked up also, use loads of wd or plus gas like ben said and it will come eventually

i have used about 1 and a half cans of WD and still no joy, whats this plusgas stuff?

Drive the car and keep applying the WD (or equivalent) over a week or so.

I did this as my bars were seized and I had no problems getting them out.

thats because WD40 is a water dispersant, NOT a penetrating fluid, its job function is not to undo rusty things, its jsut so happens that it does an ok job on mild rust. get some plus gas and youll see the diff.
