Service advice

  RenaultSport Clio 172
Hi guys, my FF '02 172 is due for it's 84k (i know!) service very soon. I've had 2 of the previous services done at the dealer, very expensive, the last big one I had done at West End in Leeds, very reasonable and good service. the only trouble is that it's a right trek to Leeds and I can't be without the car for work.

So, my question is, what are everyone's thoughts on getting the service done at a local reputable garage, as long as the price compares favourably to that of West End (which was £146 for the small service).

I obviously wanna keep the service history up as I have been as it has a FSH.

Cheers!
:)

i use a local garage for my work , that i have used for years .
go where you trust not whats cheapest imo .

Yeah cambelt was done on 72k service. Dunno about the aux belt, when should that get done?

As for the trust thing, I trust the local garage as I've taken multiple cars there before, bu the West End guys are "Renault specialists" so always makes me wonder if they'd be better.

All that's due on a minor which iirc the 84k is, then it's just an oil and filter. Get a local garage to do it that you trust, that's what I did for the 62k.

Aye they were pretty good mate, it also needs a new rear shocker, front and rear pads and the cv boot doing, they quoted £130 for the lot.
