Hi, most/none of you know me but I passed my test 3 years ago now, and my first car was a Clio 1.2 RL. Before I passed my test I did the obvious wheels and suspension. A year later I got a totally mint black valver, mint besides the lexus lights. Pretty soon I had 15" Super Ts, Eagle F1s, standard lights, Avo coil overs, Green induction kit and a full Mongoose de-cat system. And £2200 a year on 3rd party insurance.
I loved it. I know you guys can relate to that. I loved that car so much.
Then I cracked the sump. Whilst outside the garage over night waiting for the new sump, a guy decided it was in the way.
He tried moving it with... A forklift truck. he smashed the windows, bent the sills and broke my front left arch and dented the back panel in. On top of this my bonnet and induction kit were stolen, along with my back seats and head unit. To make things sooo much worse, I didn't get a penny because he was never charged and my insurance didn't cover it.
The car was realistically a write off and the following week I was "let go" from work with no pay. The car went for £150 with a cracked sump and the massive body damage and missing parts to a body shop worker. I always kept tabs on it whilst driving the old 1.2 about because I knew it was getting sorted eventually and I wanted it back because of the history.
On Sunday it came up for sale COMPLETELY restored and re-sprayed in the standard black. I'm picking it up tomorrow and after two years, she's coming home. I'm joining the forum properly and I hope to see you lot at some shows and track days soon. Thanks for your time.
