Should I worry?

Should I worry? Orange engine emissions light startted flashing today when I was stuck in traffic, turned off the engine for a sec put it back on and the light appeared again few minutes later.

Turned it off for about a minute and it disapeared. Has this happened to anyone else?

It sais in the book that you should contact renault asap if this happens!

My light came on but it wasnt flashing, i did read up and i think it said if it was flashing to go to renault. I would give them a call first see what they say.

I had the same problem recently. Was sat on a steep hill downwards in traffic for ages. It was absolutely bouncing it down with rain aswell. Roads were flooding and everything. Like a monsoon. Was flashing until I got to the bottom of the hill and then it went off. Never been on since. I texted the person I had bought it off and he said it's never come on before. Car seems fine no probs.Could have been the rain getting under the bonnet or something like that. Might be worth me getting it into a garage.
