Silverfusion Bulbs - No More

just been to their website, appears there only selling remaining stock, anyone else know what situation is, prefer them to phillips silvervision

is it still that phillips have a slight orange tint to them ?

not sure which to get now

Yeah, Phillips silvervision are more orangey than others available. I have a set.

The Silverfusion ones are "proper" silver, unlike the Philips ones whish still have and orange tint!

Ive got silverfusion in my 172. Look loads better than the OE lamps. And as Rich says, they are proper silver!!!

might try & contact silverfusion they look fantastic, dont wanna pay £25+ for 4 bulbs from phillips if you say there still orangey ? how noticeable is the orangeness ??

I was a bit disappointed about this also. They were doing a pair for £10.60 before xmas but i thought it was just an offer, not a closing down sale!! They had none in stock when i asked so i cant see why they have closed down. Philips arent the best at all, youre just jealous Tom!

Not very. I have Phillips bulbs in mine. I took these using a flash as it was dark, so they are lit up a little from that.

go to Motor World and order some Silvatec bulbs

£10.99 and VERY VERY silver, not a slight bit of orange on them unlike most of the others

Can anyone give me the part numbers/Bulb numbers that I need to fully convert all orange bulbs on my mk2 172 to silver bulbs?

I guess I need 2 for rear lights and 2 for front lights. I already have clear side repeaters etc so its only front and rear that needs doing.

Wot bulbs do halfords do, i still got £15 in halford vouchers from xmas to use.

renault handbook says PY21W bayonet for fronts

P21W bayonet for rears (dont know why the "Y" is missing for the rears)

What kind of pins do you need, offset or opposite ?

checked out some websites that sell silvatec and they claim to be chromed / mirrored which the silverfusion were but cant find any pics to compare

Like I said, they really are silver, just like a mirror, unlike the Philips ones...

The Silvatec ones look like the SilverFusion ones mate...

I had a pic of a SilverFusion and a SilverVision bulb next to each other and you can really tell the difference!

Ive just ordered the Philips ones though as they dont seem to be that orange. Ive heard people say that they are a "bit" orange, but i hadly think you can tell!

Silvatec ones as sold at Motor World (you order em in) are just as silver as the silver fusion ones posted in this thread, they are not in any way orange whatsoever !

and there £10.99 a set not £15...
