Slight update...

Only a DIY spray job, so not amazing quality, but I love the improved subtle look over the black strips.

When you see it in the flesh, especially when it's dark and artificial light is shining on it, then you can see it's DIY (not quite matching and it's a bit blotchy and probably not lacquered enough!) but I'm definitely pleased with it, and as Middo says, always feels better when it's DIY! The bloody black strips were a bugger to get off though, my fingers are killing!

I've been thinkin about the handles, but I'm in no rush yet. I think there's enough remaining black (as well as the impending wheel refurb) that the black will just contribute to break up the silver. And plus, it would mean having no handles for a few days!

I love these strips though, it's crazy how something so simple and small can change the entire look of a car from a certain angle. As len_beach says, it brings it into the '00's properly! I'm after you and your current 'title' carbon... ;)

That along with my fixed exhaust has left me a happy man today. :D

^ altho if your unhappy with the condition of your strips, its probably not worth attempting to do the handles as it will cost more for the bodyshop to sort it afterwards - as the cellulose paint needs sealing in. i've had a few problems trying to find a good bodyshop to redo my strips after i sprayed them myself.

of the pics you've posted it does look like a nice job though.

Shh with the handles already! :rasp:

Yeah I'll probably get them done, but probably when I get my strips done properly by a bodyshop and will just tag them onto that job. Not a priority at the moment but I agree that it'll look better...
