slightly odd TomTom question

  1.8 Civic EX
A freind at work has an original TomTom and I've recently bought one of the new slim ones...

If I was to buy a new SD card, copy all the info off my TomTom SD card and put it on the blank one....then put that one in the old TomTom would that work ok?

or am I missing something?!?

two reasons for doing so...old one has some real out of date stuff (it's never been updated) and the memory size of the Card they have is too small so can't update it anyway as it's full up!

No, the maps wont work.

However the old tomtom can be updated to the new menus and use the old maps.
(using tomtom home windows or mac)

You can copy across:

Postcode data (zip folder)
Voice data
Poi's
And anything else that isnt maps.

so basically I can do a copy of thier existing one onto a bigger card so it can be updated rather than just copying the data over from mine...??
