Snooper S5 / S5-R

Does anyone know what if any differences there are between the Snooper S5 / S5-R? Cheers.

IIRC the -R at the end means it comes with the Radar unit which is normally an optional extra.

Dependant on price there not normally worth the extra money!!

Sorry if I seem a bit dumb, but what extra does the Radar unit offer? Do they not all need them fitted to detect Gatso's and the like's?
