no the operating system is called solaris its a unix os

it runs on sun hardware

Try x11vnc that will share the current session on the system. Normal VNC will not share a session and you would need to edit configs to get it to launch a new session.

I dont think there are pre-built binaries for solaris so you may have to compile from source.. which isnt as hard as it sounds. Just make sure you have all the dependancies (IIRC there arent really any for x11vnc).

Just checked.. there is a pre-built binary for solaris but its a really old version.. build it from source and it only uses standard libraries.. nothing exotic.. so you should be fine.
