SONY MEX-1HD 10GB HU

Been looking at a few Hard Drive HUs and came across this on ebay:

Its got a 10gb hd built in. Comes with a 12" Qentis sub & SPL 7" Car Speakers all for £450.

Is the above HU any good?

Opinons are very welcome....

Looks a good deal for the price especially with the HU which looks very good, but the 7" components wont fit your car and Im not sure about the quality of the sub.

also, they dont give u an amp for the sub, so u gotta fork out some cash for the sub.

Thats very cheap thou, over half price from cel-direct, would be a bit iffy about it, whether its a US version or something.

Well I am saving up now.. Cuss it is such a good price for the hu, the sub & speakers are a bonus...

Why not get one of the new Alpine units and an ipod connection kit....

Then you can get up to 40GB and also still use the ipod as a personal stereo.

The units are about £300 for head unit and interface and then the price of an ipod.....

I just run my ipod into a cassette player through an adaptor but thats beacuse Im skint.

I have got a 80GB portable hd (Archos AV380) which has got the ability to play movies, photos & mp3 on the bulit in screen.. but I dont think there is a adaptor for this to be used through a car stereo...
