South Wales Meet + Brecon Beacons Tour

Had a small South Wales meet today and after I took the opportunity to have a quick look round the Brecon Beacons, what a place! Certainly some potential for good meets in the area, lots of places to get photos and some amazing roads, and I'm sure there are many more members in that area who could go along.

Oh and what is it with Wales and cars, couldn't believe some of the stuff I was seeing, Invicta S1 (wow!), 2 Aston Martins, more Elise's than I could count, and a further 4 172/182s spotted on the way home too.

Definately got to go back, was in a bit of a hurry as I was bloody starving and still had 110 miles to cover to get home! Only stopped in 3 lay-bys to get pics but there were a good 10-15 I would love to have spent some more time at. I feel a sunrise trip coming on, would need to leave home at about 4am though!

good photos - I need to invest in a good camera after seeing them - was a good day mate - nice to meet you - shall see you in FCS next - should have a few more subtle mods by then hopefully. Is a good road - pity there was so much traffic today - we should have turned off onto some of the quiter roads - I shall work out a route for next time. Did you find your way back ok?

Yeah I got home fine thanks, pretty straightforward in the end, will definately be back in the future. I'm well happy with the camera, amazing piece of kit for around £300 (Panasonic FZ20).

Quite a car you've got there btw, loads of mods but still really subtle, just how I like it. And I knew about the 1.6s , clio_chris down here has one and I sat in when he did a lap of the Airfield circuit, rapido!

Saw a few Clio Sports at Rest Bay yesterday 5 of which in the pay and display car park i did wonder if there was a mini meeting going on there too..

Yep was good yesterday only pity there were not a better turn out. Weather was okay aswell which was a bonus.
timsclio172 your car looks really good can't wait to have my prospeed exhaust done tomorrow now after seeing yours.
Hopefully will be going to FCS now in a couple of weeks to see somemore of your clios.

Sorry I couldn't make it after all (a family meal was booked and I couldn't get out of it !) looks like a good meet, ace photos. I drive from Merthyr to Brecon and back nearly every Sunday and you do see loads of nice cars and loads of bikes ! It's a very popular road on a Sunday. Be good if you have another meet in the next month or so. My son can't wait to come along !

Very nice pics, I recognise a lot of the landscape there, as I only live about 12 miles away, there are some brill driving roads in the area, especially the A470 to penderyn road, just be carefull of the ponies and sheep though!
