Spark plug socket rubber stuck on fitted plug.

Got the plug socket rubber stuck on a spark plug after fitting it.

Managed to remove it using a baiting needle you can buy in any fishing tackle shop. Cost about 2 quid.

Inserted the needle down the inside of the rubber, between the rubber and the white insulation of the plug, turned it 90 degrees so the hook would dig into the rubber, pulled and voila! Problem solved.

Didn't think of removing the plug and taking it off like that?

​Socket doesn't go back over rubber once it's off, at least not enough to engage the hex.

I have had the exact same happen and the socket went back over no problem at all!
