speed sensor fault mystery where's the symptons

The world's most unreliable clio strikes again.

Got a p0500 fault, speed sensor fault but my esp abs and Speedo all work fine.

Only thing is I can turn my cruise on but can't set a speed but the car has just been mapped and I'm sure after I had an rs tuner map done before I had to reset the cruise I just can't remember how, would be greatful if someone could refresh my memory
