Sports Bumpers

I drive a mk2 ph1 1.2 8v, would a sports body kit from a sport model fit straight on or would there have to be some bodging to the chassis??

The 172 kit would fit but you would need to also change the front wings over and attach the side skirt brackets to make sure it was done properly.

so i would need to change the front wings to sport wings? would this give it a slightly wider look??

Yeh sport wings are wider also where the centre of the front bumper mounts just in front of the radiator underneath the air intake there are 2 brackets next to either light the standard bumper bolts downwards into the crossmember where as the sport bumper needs little upright brackets making for it to fit properly.

That's what I did on mine anyway I've not put the skirts on yet but all I'm going to do is drill holes along the metal that hangs down along each side of the car and bolt it in place

if its a non sport. youll need sport wings... sport sideskirts... sport archliner... and more than likely wheel spacers as the wings are flared and ur wheels will sit in the arches. if you want it to look good its all or nothing im afraid
