Squeeking

Now this isnt your regualr dash squeeking that you usually associate with Clios.

It sounds like its the fan belt slipping, it does it when i move off, and when i change ger up to 4th, if i quickley press on the accelerator, i mean right to the floor, it does i,b ut less so. Doesnt seem to get worse if i pull off quickley or slowley, and it only does it say 3 times outa 5.

BUT....

It seems to be comming from the rear drivers side (near side or offside, i loose track whihc is which) wheel. Have checks this and the wheel isnt rubbing or anything, when i pussh down - working the suspension its ok.

Any ideas guys / gals?

*edit: Its a 1.2 mk1 clio, Ph2

the main squeaks we used to have on them were the clutch plate or the front pipe to manifold joint.we used to drop the front pipe down, mix some copper grease and exhaust paste together, put it on the front pipe to manifold joint and refit the front pipe.cant think of anything obvious from the rear.

My renault 5 used to make a high pitch squealing noise and it was the manifold gasket. but that was all the time.
