**stalling wen idling**

got an S reg mk2 and it has bin stalling sparcly the past couple of weeks. it didnt go to renault for its last service. cud it b the engine management system needs updating?

i warned you about fitting that lawnmower engine well in advance to the conversion!

mines doing the same thing mate, i changed the speedo cable, road speed sensor, cleaned the TB, and iscv, changed fuel filter, cleaned injectors, reset ecu.

still does it. think i need a new iscv...! if u take it to renault they will tell u, i just dont fancy paying £35 just to connect it to a pc...!

no iscv idle speed control valve...nothin to do with management

Do your revs go irratic before it stalls as mines been back to reno 5 times with that problem they said it was the sensor for the car to idle then they said it was the inlet pressure sensor and to top it off the last time it went in they changed the engines wiring loom??????????? still runs like a bag of sh*t, thats why im getting shut of it but as mad as i am im getting another in 4 weeksStill think it was my induction kit causing the problem !!!!!!! Ste

no it dont rev madly, revs slowly drop over a couple of seconds then stalls

adams_16v, bit off-topic but how much did renault charge for your idle speed control valve? i took my mk1 RT in with a problem which the techie said was the iscv, turns out the part costs more than the labour for once: £158.75 + VAT!!!! i said no thank you!
