Steering column

Hi, I have been told that the universal joint has gone in my steering column:dapprove: , causing play in the steering. Does anyone know how much a new one would be:S ? as I dont want to buy a used one with the same common problem and id rather not weld it. How many hours labour should I be expecting to be charged for this? cheers. J

New ones are expensive.

Its a common issue the popular fix it to weld it up.

To fix depends which way you go welding is popular get a good expert and they can do it with the rack in place.
