Stereo not working

My Mrs' drove to work and the stereo worked fine, but on her way home some 8 hours later both the stereo and the Clock screen are no longer working/visible.

any ideas?

See, now we're getting somewhere lol

Does the head up display show anything at all? IE the clock/temperature etc etc?
What happens when you switch the car headlights on?

Nothing comes up on the screen at all regardless of whether the headlights are on or not.

Loose connection at the rear of the stereo then IMO

I doubt it's a fuse as the fuse for the HU does the following -

F7 Radio 15A Radio, Cigarette lighter, Clock, Courtesy mirror, Heated rear screen relay, Central communication unit, Fuses and relays

So you'd lose quite a lot of equipment.
