Strange noise

I have a mk2 ph1 1.6 16v clio and just recently I'm having a problem with it, if I'm setting off in first and jerk the car slightly (i.e don't set off smoothly) I'm getting this sorta bang noise from the front of the car. Not sure what it is and if it could be the engine or gearbox mounts.

It happens just as I lift my foot of the clutch and jerk the car forward.

Thats the best way I can think to describe it.... anyone any ideas on what it is and how much it will cost to put it right?

sounds like mounts mate, not sure of the best way to attack the problem though.

Sounds a bit like its a dog bone issue, I think they have one on the 1.6 I had a very similar sounding issue on mine when I first had it. Or possibly one of the other mounts as you say.
Im concerned when you say you jerk the car forward?

Also hows the bite on the clutch?

The clutch seems fine.

By jerk forward I mean if I don't set of really smoothly every time. Its quite difficult to explain but I'll keep trying lol.

Any idea roughly how much it would cost to put right?
