Loads of folk have!

Take the bases out, a piece of piss, even says how to in the manual I think. And then you need to remove the bolt that holds the uprights in place with a torx socket.

yeah mate real easy!!
1. lift up bench and unhook from clips
2. fold down split folding rear seats
3. unscrew 2x torx screws which secures plastic trim behind seats and remove
4. unscrew torx screw in centre (t40 i think)
5. slide back slightly and remove
6. job done!!

I just did mine before it went to the bodyshop. That way, they won't get soiled by the mechanics beating my rear panel out.
