mk1 clio 1.8rt
i have just fitted an rsi engine into a clio 1.8rt and im having problems now i was told that the loom would just be "plug and play" but it turns out it is't. The swap went ok just needing to adjust the fuel lines get a longer servo pipe and a different header tank i used the 1.8rt map sensor and crank sensor will this be ok?? Also its all plumbed in now and it spins over sweet. However there is no spark and no fuel!! I have tried to power the pump up manually putting it to earth and trying a 12v feed still nothing. and as for the spark im not sure, everything else seems to work ok but my assumption is that there is either a lock on the ecu?? or the dash loom needs replacing?? some of the pins in the main block dont add up but then again they didnt with the standard engine in. If anyone has any idea please as i want my car running for summer lol. I think my next step will be to get the old engine/loom trace the wiring and try and correct it or even try a dash loom? what are your views?
