Suggestions please

Now ive put my new wheels on, u can see the discs more which i like, but i think the calipers *spelling* look a bit minging, sort of rusty.

I been told to paint them mat black, bit dubious about this as it might look a bit naff (as i remember painting the rear drums red on my nova!!!!!)

Is there any sort of cover u can buy or do i have to paint them or leave them???

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ive been looking at painting my calipers for the past couple of weeks. I think black or silver would look best unless your cars got a really wacky colour scheme, in which case the red or yellow might be nice!. Apparently the kits (Folia) do give a very good finish. Still cant make my mind up!

Jilly, the standard 172 brake calipers dont look that nice i know. But I think painting them would look a bit pants.

The Folia Tec paint is good stuff. Just paint them silver if you dont want it to be too obvious but look tidy.

Hello All

I did my calipers in blue, but instead of buying a folia kit, go down any decent motor factors and get a can of spray brake caliper, and a tin of engine enamel (or high temp paint) in whatever colour you think suits. Outstanding finish if time is taken, and it is lasting also, with engine enamel taking the additional heat no bother.
