We picked up one of these little gadgets after needing to record some voice options on our phone system. As it turns out, our phone system only requires WAV files in 8-bit mono, so this recorder is 100% overkill - lol!

Anyways, it's not cheap - not too far off £300, iirc. But the recording quality is simply superb. Even just listening to the playback via a set of mere iPod headphones, there is a depth and clarity to the recording that defies the little recorder's size.
It is also very, very sensitive. The background noise that can be picked up (if needed) is again, very impressive.
I just wish I had had this when I went to the Chatsworth Rally Show. Getting some WAVs of the Audi Quattros and Lancia S4's going at full chat would have been audio p**n. I guess there is always next year.
