Suspension spacing????

Thinking of lowering my mk1 ph3 and need to find out the spacing, heard its either 52mm or 54mm. Where can i go to find out what it is? kwik fit?

Turn the wheel to full lock them measure the distance form the center of the two bolts.
Most lily will be 52mm if you have a 1.2.
