First i just wanted to say thinkyou for the advice on exhausts! Think im gonna go with the yozza system from the cat back! but now i have another question for you all suspension.

i want to lower my 172 but im not sure how much is a safe amount. Also when i look at it the back appears higher than the front does this mean i need to lower it more??

backs are always that bit higher. if you lower the back more start to lose the handling a bit

If you want to lower the car for the sake of looks then go for a set of Sportline Eibach springs, don't get Apex as they are a bit rubbish really. The best bet is to go for springs and dampers really, coil-overs are better still as you can adjust the height to how you like it. I've found that an all-round drop of about 40mm works best on my coillies but bear in mind that any major lowering/stiffening of suspension effects it ability on a lumby old B-road!
