Suspention Kits

I decided that i cant afford coilovers so am loking to purchase a suspention kit. i have had agood look around and cant find a set i really like. I have about £300 to spend any advice on this?

keep savin 4 the coilies mate. dont bother doin the new shocks and pro's lark. ive had pro's and they were a waste of fookin money! check out the parts for sale section regularly u mite get lucky.

If it were me, i'd hold on and save up the extra £200 odd quid and get some coilovers.

But then he'll want them setting up properly, so its not just the extra £200 to buy them.

are they standard renault dampers? i like the springs. that is what i have been looking at tbh

Ive just had a front drivers side spring break on my way home this evening. Oddly it appened right outside my house so I was able to recover the escaped piece from the road. Looks like its had a crack in it for a while and its finally gone ping tonite. a section about 4" long came off from where the lower end of the spring sits onto the strut body.

Anyway,

How much are new springs from Renault? Can I get genuine springs anywhere else? Im not really interested in uprating at this point.

Is this a common problem?

I drive a 172 Cup.
