Swapping xenons-non xenon

I'm trying to buy a pair of xenon headlights of which the backblate that connects to the frame are broken. Is it possible to swap these from a pair of non xenons?

If the mounting clips have broken there is not much you can do.......easily.... You can heat the lights up to split the glue and swap the parts like you suggested.
Easier method is to drill a hole near the broken mounting point and use a cable tie or similar to secure the light.

So shouldn't be a problem then? I can get a set for fairly cheap so would be nice if they fit, Thanks!!
