Because on GIS dvd extras there's a commentary file where someone is commenting during their drive. And he has often mentioned that those cars are offered for their use on the videos. So not own, loaned. For the owner's it's most likely cool to see their cars on that DVD

Get on Zatyzy.com and you can find out who it is if you know enough about racing there a load of hints on the forum. Only thing is you need someone who can read Swedidh so your in a good position to find out.

There been more than 1 drive in most of the films though. Just Mr X has been the same apparenty every time.

I prefere the second one with the Supra vs Cossie.

The first one is often deemed as a fake due to the sound of the police at the beggining and them not stopping but its was never meant to be a proper police stop just made a good beginning to the film.
