Whos dealt with them on here? What do you think to the service and the customer service? Are they worth the monthly cash?

Lol thanks for the comments. I am a tech guy btw lol, I work in the call center, just doing it for the experience etc, the service is shocking.

Quite funny actually, this is my 1st official week and we've had the 'tec's' watching over us, these are meant to be the best in the call center, and I know more than most of them lol.

TheTechGuys - Wooo, right heres my story. Sent to them two brand new Philips laptops, because they were overheating and the power buttons were faulty.

Flipping people sent it back twice faulty to us. Idiots, all i wanted was for them to fix it and return it first time working perfectly.

They want £70 to come & install a wireless connection, i've tried to do it myself, but I can't do it. I've sort of done it but them it goes a bit wrong :dapprove:

I'm probably just going to give one of my neighburs kids a score to come & do it for me:)

The thing that annoyed me was, on their website where the product is it then says at the bottom - you will also need the blokes to come & do it  No I don't !!!!

Tried all that, no good. Tbh I can't be bothered with messing about with it any more.

CoCo_CLio_Army - cheers for the offer, i'm probably just going to get one of the kids from next door to do it.

not always that simple mate, some laptop companies have there own wireless software which you have to disable. it's a 10 minute job if you know what your doing.

cat171 - no problem mate, another thing if it is a BT HOMEHUB, it might have blowen its wireless chip, i knw from working with the system that they over heat and cause it to burn out the wireless chip are cause vectorheat which blankets out the wireless singal.

I work in currys, so same bunch of theiving scum really. However all i will say (and the above person may agree)

currys/pcworld service is normally rubbish, however dont walk into pc world assuming the first person you approach will be an arse or useless, 75% of the time you will be right 20% of the time he will probably no even realise your talking to him, but 5% of the time it might actually be one of us that gives a **** and even though i cant change currys, at least i can not rip off a few people and give them genuine advice.

I accept this is not the majority of currys or pc world staff but just give them a chance, i consider my customer service to be the best in my store, however i do work with a bunch of muppets. As has been mentioned above, its not hard to know alot in these places. I'm the TV expert in my store and ive only had an intrest in Tv's 1 year and its all self taught.

comet, now they are all useless good for nothings:rasp:

Think about it, Why would anyone with decent IT skills be working at PC World when they could probably get an inhouse PC Support role which pays more.

No mate I don't mean I paid for one!
I'm a certified technician, I just can't believe they charge that much for such a simple thing.
I love going into PC world and asking them tricky questions, they don't have a clue.

I know my stuff when it comes to computers and networks etc. Im A+, Network+ Certified etc, but the people that are employed in this call center are muppets that have no interest in IT. they come from other call centers like Egg etc etc. Its silly.

DSG...

Aren't their shares in the toilet lately?

They're about to go back up, trust me.

I could go on about the quality of service from the TechGuys all day... but I won't as you've all summed it up pretty nicely. All I will say is, if you think the service the TechGuys give in store is bad... you all need to experience the service customers receive from the call centre. Shocking to say the least. If I had a quid for every complaint I get in store about the TechGuys then I wouldn't be Management in PC World any more ;)

Oh, and its already been said but... there are a few of us who do give great customer service. Only a few, but its a start.
