Not on any car of mine, but use water with a bit of fairy liquid in to wet the film and windows. You can get the bubbles out easily then.

I had a crack at it with Folia-tec film on a land rover discovery i used to own, looked alright but nothing like a pro finish with a warranty

I got quoted for £250 on my mk2 phase 2 to get limo on the back three and light smoke on passenger and driver side windows, i was promised an absolute guarenttee it would b perfect, happy with that!

I agree, the bloke in the place said its a pain to do the back window due to the curvature......

( Price includes the tinting film as well, i'm not a total mug! )

You might as well, i've been having this problem also,

i mean i wouldn't do it myself, but do i go the real pro, pay 250 pound get an quality guarentted job, or pay 100 to some guy down local garage who offers it as an out of hours service.

Hes really hit and miss i have seen from his work, some looks great but then others absolutley shocking. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and for the extra 150 quid i just know i will be so much happier than having a half assed job, which is ok but with a few air bubbles and cracks etc...

Get it pro !

( PS, that doesn't ruin the 182 at all, looks really smart i think )

nothing on the front i only wanted the rear sides and boot done so the daughter can watch DVDs, knowing my luck if i had the front done i'd have an accident and i would be 1% over the legal front tint limit and bye bye insurance cover

Ahh very true actually, got to be really careful with that..

Quick question myself, sunstrip.. does that affect anything? Can you have an illegal sunstrip i mean obvoiusly if its blocking your view then yeah. But apart from that can they be illegal for being to dark perhaps?

Problem with front tints, you dont know the % of the factory tint, so putting on the lightest film might push you over the legal limit, different case if your motor does'nt have tinted glass to start with

Yeah true, friend of mine is totally driving with illegal tints..... he has limo black on back three and his fronts, he gets away with it by always driving with the windows down. Suprised he hasn't been caught out by rain etc yet
