TOAD 850T

Can anyone help me out here?

I had a Toad A850T installed in my 172 by Toade themselves. My question is. If the alarm goes off should you be able to start the car with the key - if you dont disarm the alarm. I know this sounds crazy but I can.

I was under the impression that there was some *extra* immobilisation supplied by the A850T but maybe not..

AK,

There is absolutely no extra immobilisation provided with the A850T, it is merely an alarm used in conjunction with the original immobiliser.

BTW how much did it cost direct from Toad and did they seem proficient when fitting it?
