..it comes with a cradle that sticks to your windscreen, you will need a booster ariel to use it in the front (reflective screen), or you can mount it on the rear screen as it still works (you just cant see it).

the power comes from the quick release clamp that comes with it James, so if you put it there without the clamp, then you would be running on battery all the time.

used one to get to donnington the other day - what a nightmare - signal with the reflective windscreen was crap! got lost about 6 times. What ever happend if you get one you will need a more powerful aerial for it.

Yea, when I was in a Mk2 Clio with the reflective screen, I mounted it on the passenger window.. worked fine! (Had to be careful around the electric window switch tho!)

Definetly need the aerial for a permanent solution tho!

Daz - what do you mean - you actually mounted the sucker thing on to the passenger window and it was ok - I have to go to London next week and could do with using it so may have another go if you think it will be ok like that - my sister has one that I can use which by the way works perfectly in a new mini, A BMW 330i and also a Porsche 911 993 carrera so the problems i had are definately down to the weird windscreens we have.

Is the story the same with the 182 windscreen?

it will have the same problems with the 182 screens yeah. Just like with the road angels you will need an additional antenna to get a stable signal.

Thats why i have a bluetooth pda with totom on it. So the dongle goes on the rear shelf.

It's worth mentioning that this shoudlnt be a problem in the 182Cup as it has a normal windscreen
