TomTom 6 & New Maps?

Hi,

Just upgraded my TomTom Go Classic to version 6.14.. very swish! But also need new maps.

I know they exsist because I used them on TomTom's stand at the Motorshow, but there not avalible through The TomTom HOME software.. any ideas where I can get them?

They are bringing out the "upgrades" in about 3-4 weeks time at a reduced price for existing customers.

As each unit range now has variants of the maps.

No probs.

The only main ones out there are on SD cards they sell and are for last years mapping.

The new ones will be updated 2006/07 ones, but get in quick for the "upgrades" otherwise they go back to full price.

Normally around 50% off....

KK, shall be as quick as possible.

Its annoying as there is a road not far from my house that is a shortcut to the M3, its been built for 6 years but TomTom disargees! Noticed at the Motorshow that the 910 had it tho!

Certain roads and shortcuts were removed by tomtom.

This was to prevent large vehicles taking routes they can't fit down!

Having been down country roads near the Honiton airfield meet I can see why lol

^^^ Yer they did mention that at points as the sat nav would route using that road or cut thru.

afaik current GB map is 605 (heard rumours of 650 but cant see any)
Newer app ver for one version to 6 appears to be out with possibly an update coming for pda / phones ? Time will tell

Okay, I am stuck again, How can I tell what maps are avalible through TomTom HOME?

I know that I have the latest Application Version, and that my current maps ar 5 something-or-other.

But I have no way of finding the infomation of the maps avalible on TomTom HOME! help
