Top speed limiter. . .

Alright guys, how do? I was recently seein how fast my 1.216v could go and noticed it didn't go anywhere past 90. And for my first car a 1l 106 that went 95. . So my friend who was in the car at the time suggested that it may have a top speed limiter. As it was only at 4k doing 90 in fifth gear. Anyone else had the same problem? Cause i know it should atleast go faster than 90 with no mods. Any thoughts? Ideas etc. Cheers Ryzi

Should easily do 105-110, dont know whats wrong with yours but somethings not right....unless you were going uphill :slap:!?

Funny thing was, i was going down hill! With the foot right down. It struggles loads to get over 90. And it's only at 4k revs! Any other ideas guys? Lol

Nope just the standard 15inch renault alloys! Lol and i'm only like 9st, so don't think my weight is the problem lol. Maybe i should hold it in 4th for as long as poss and see if that does the trick. Or maybe i need a longer straight bit o road lol ha ha cheers for the feedback though guys.

Anyway check the obvious really, tyre pressures air filter maybe a blocked cat who knows... Does it missfire at all?

yup no speed limiter matey,is yours due a service? as suggested about a blocked air filter and tyre pressures will make a massive difference

With the 1.2 16vs it will do 100 at just over 6k in 4th, change into fifth at 3.5k and floor it and you may aswell have got the bus.
