Torque Steer

sh*t..............not finished lookin for that stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

sorry bro.........ill look more now

cheers Ben mate.

Hade a wee quick measure the other day, the offside front wheel is closer to the rear of the arch by 20mm! lol

About 15mm closer in as well.

done 50k with it like that Ben! lol

Its not bad, steerings a bit heavy, whern you lockthe front wheels you go off in all sorts of weird directions and when you take of it jumps badly and lands worse.

it tracks pretty straight as I have sorted it, still miles out but not to bad. The wear patterns on the tyres are the source of much mirth though.

Tramlining? is this where my car seems to have an attraction to painted road markings and dipped parts of the road (ie the edge of a country lane). Is it because of the front camber and narrow tyre walls or is my car set up wrongly or buggered?

excessive camber, lowering and large wheels will lead to tramlning where it just follows imperfections on the rd.

your running on the inside edge of a low profile large tyre.

As far as Im aware my cars not lowered, has standard camber (although there is a noticable negative camber which I asumed must be due to the 16v model but it does have 16" wheels with the tyre profile making the wheels just smaller than standard I think. It does follow the imperfections though. I

ve just checked the Haynes which says that caster isnt adjustablebut could go out due to warn or dammaged parts, should be between 1 & 2 degrees but they show a range of values for different heights??? ah just thought the heights might be for varying suspension movement.
