Anyone reccomend one of this? Seen them on KTec. Will be buying 195/45/16.

R's and S's both crap in the wet imo .I had them on my 172 , i wouldn't have them given me .

I prefered the original conti contacts that came on my 172 over the toyos .But the Michelin Pilot Exatlos p!ss all over both of them in the wet . But you pay a premium for them , they aint cheap .

go for the T1-R, its a better design.

t1s are crap in the wet old tyres too. T1r are very good in the dry and wet. Performance does fade when about 2mm left. I wore my last set out on a rain soaked trackday, believe me, what i was over taking, the tires are good in the wet on my car

The only real difference is an extra groove around the edge of the tyre / wall but, as said, the S is no longer in production.

I always found the T1-R's to be fantastic in the dry and fine in the wet. I never pushed the car in the wet and they never surprised me or did anything out of character. Other tyres may have better wet handling, but if you're pushing your car like that in wet conditions, then you're asking for it IMO....

A good cheap tyre, although other brands such as Goodyear F1's, Contisports and Pilot Exalto's are better overall quality and seem to last longer.

Yep, looking at a set of the new Toyo PX4's for my spare set of 197 alloys. I thought the T1R's on my 172 Cup were fine tbh!!!

Far cheaper places then Ktec for toyos try black circles or mytires

Michelin Pilot Exaltos !? love them love them ,
the toyos are scary in the wet, great in dry. The Michelin great in both weathers

There are some very good deals on ebay at the mo, i can get x4 215/45/17 delivered for £300 (T1-R). No where i've tried can match that!!!

Yoko's are too soft imo, had them on a Punto GT, just ate them

Ive used toyo tyres for the last couple of years found them much better than standard tyres and more grip/less wear than yokohamas. Ive never had an issue with them in the wet, ive actually found them better than the yokohamas when wet!
