tripometer question

has anyone come across this, when i put fuel in my car the tripometer resets itself everytime really annoying for my mpg etc.... if anyone knows of this is there a fix???? pls help

thats doesnt sound right, you not pressing any buttons are you?

All it resets is the "how many miles till u fill up again" thingy ma jig. All the rest stay as they were.

Mine still needs the button pressing before this happens! And it resets the mpg, miles till you fill up, gallons used etc etc etc, only thing it doesnt reset is the total miles and the 2nd trip mileage.

when you say reset you mean goes to 0 or numbers increase? cos they are going to increase arnt they as you have just filled up. If you see what I mean.

i aint pressing nowt, like i said i have had three prev clios so i know how it all works i am however thinking maybe an import thing? it happens every time i fill up

how does the car know you have filled up though. weird, never heard of it before even on imports, it shouldnt reset im sure.

i dunno maybe a sensor recognises the pump nozzle and works out how much petrol went in giving me my miles in the tank then resets everything its booked in to be looked at though
