Basically, I've undone the bolts, and the seat is free to come out, other than the wiring. I unclipped it from the seat, but there's two wires still attached and I don't know what to do about them:
Look like they've been soldered together you are right there should be a block, Undo the battery and leave it half hour or so, Then snip them and resolder them back in with your new seats
I followed it to the seatbelt pretensioner thing, and it was plugged in there, so I pulled it out.
I'm putting Clio sports seats in, and my old ones didn't have seat airbags, and I've got them in now and connected all the clips that were on my old seats to the sport seats, but the airbag light on my dash is still on?
because there is now a low resistance flowing through the sensor so the ecu knows there disconnected. you put resistors in place to fool the ecu that there connected. it was designed to these connected so there no getting away with it unless you put resistors in place.
they didnt go through the block because of a problem with the connections, you'll find this on many clios, (wires cut off the block and soldered)
finch wxm have you actually done this with a resistor?? ive tried so many different resistors, but non of the seem to work, i just get used to the airbag light now
Everything that was plugged in with my old non sport seats, I've connected exactly the same way, any extra wires coming from Sport seats due to extra airbags etc I've just left, so why is the light on lol?
Sorry for all these amateur questions!
EDIT: just noticed on the drivers side the non connected two wires coming from the pretensioner, need to be re wired up to that grey connector!
Does anyone know how this comes off, Im just going to swap the seats and keep my existing sub frames, but in order to get the sub frame free this needs to come off ?
