tunning question

had a fully ex. system put on my 1.4 16v, with de-cat, and a Ktec ramcharger induction kit.

the place i had my exhuast done recommended i take it sumwhere to be "tuned".

sayin that with all that extra air i need more fuel in my engine.

this true? how much this cost to get done if its worth doing?

cheers guys

hard to get big improvments with engine managment in peak power... but that is not so important as mid range fueling as that is what you mostly use on the road.

the standard fuel map that comes with the car is designed to meet EU legistlation etc bla bla for fuel emmisions so a good map will see better gains mid range and you will feel that more...

people seem to concerned with peak power all the time....

also with a 1.4 the gains are going to be lower as you have less to play with in the 1st place.. so potentioal 8 bhp is pretty good...

might be worth a run on the rollers to see how she is fueling... if its lean then you ought to map it..
