TV for bedroom

  tiTTy & SV650
The TV point is directly opposite my bed, but the wall it's on is approx 3 metres from my 'headboard'

what size of TV is the smallest that'd be acceptable from 3 metres?

I've seen a 22" LG I like for £200 but think it'd be too small?

GF has a 22" Samsung which sits about 4' off the end of her bed and its an acceptable size BUT I'd probably be looking for a 26" or 32",

I've just got a 37" LG in my Room but its a bit further away than your talking about so I'd say 26" or 32" would be ideal.

I've got a 23" Samsung LE23R (older model) but I sit like 2 feet away from it

lol that'll feel like an imax then.

I could run some co-axial cable through a built in wardrobe and put a new tv point in closer but can I be arsed?

cheers thats about the same scenario then around 4ft from base of bed.

Im thinking it's prob 3ft from base of bed, would bringing your gf's tv a foot closer make a big difference you reckon?

I can feel a scale drawing in CAD coming on at this rate lol

I sit about the same distance away from my tv point and I'm currently looking for a new tv, looking at circa 42' though!

In my eyes if you're buying a tv, you may aswell buy a proper one.

I definetily wouldn't go for a 22' if I were you, looks very small, 32' would be the perfect size ideally.

gonna get a 32" viera for the living room, maybe consider a 26 for the bedroom then. cheers it's all about a balance of cost and functionality.

haha my gf has already done me a 3d room to scale on archicad!

There's some fantastic deals around at the moment, richer sounds are currently selling a samsung 32' for £300, and bennets are doing a deal where they will beat that by £25, so you can get it for £275 :)

I've a 32" in my small lounge which is what I'd guess is the same sort of distance away (about 4ft beyond the length of a bed...) and it's just right - 27" or 37" would be fine also, though.

If you'll be watching it lots and it's also for gaming, etc then I'd go 32 or 37, but if it's just for sticking on a film or a bit of Match of the Day when you go to bed, then 27 will be fine IMO.

I'm looking at a 32" Samsung for my bedroom when I've finished it. It's about the same distance from the end of the bed as yours. I was thinking 26" originally, but for a small amount more you can get 32" which IMO is a better size with a more varied range.

I was going to go for a 26" but for the money you're as well just getting a 32", cheap as chips these days

Think I'd go for 32" as well TBH. At about the same distance, we have a 19", looks tiny.

ok might get a cheap 32" e.g. a bravia :clown: for the bedroom and get the viera for the living room. cheers all.

May even get a 37" for the living room, seems to me like the living room tv should be bigger lol

My Mrs has to put up with an optimistic 7.5" in our bedroom....Oh right, wrong thread. I'd go for 26" to be honest!

Just gone for 32" which is just under 3 meters away from the headboard and it seems ideal size wise.

My living room is 14ft long (roughly 4.3 metres) but my couch is about 10ft from the screen (3 metres) and my TV is 42". Personally I think you need a minimum of 32" of not more but its your choice like!

decided to just get a 24" despite the advice lol

Went for a full 1080p Ilyami monitor with HDMI input though, bit of a bargain at £180 just need to add some decent speakers and sorted

Mine is a 14" on the wall about 5ft up and about 12 ft from the bed. I get neck and eye ache looking at it. Im knackared when watching writting but hey. I may get a bigger one. No use to you but :p

1080p on a 24'' lol, it's near on impossible to see the difference between 720p / 1080p on a 32''.

But for £180 sounds good.
