two problems..

Since ive had the car, its been fine, not many big problems, just normal french ones.
But ive tried to start the car today but nothing happens? doesnt even ignite. So i pulled over, popped the bonnet and theres a very quiet ticking sound coming from the rear of the engine? what is it? Common fault?

I dont know that much about car problems
except the ones that have happened to me.

My 172ff was doing this every now and again,
turned out to be a loose battery connection.

Could also be a flat battery.

Not sure if this helps just thought it was worth mentioning.
