Tyre wear Q’

Currently running 17s and lowered on Eibach Prokit springs and tracking done.

Problem....the tyres seem to be wearing on the outside. I thought lowering they would wear on the inside.

Anyone have any ideas or is this usual???

Get the tracking redone to that the tyres are at more of an angle.

The trackers set the car for the manurfacturers setup your car is lowered so need different setup.

Also depends how you drive my fronts were more worn on the outer edge when I changed them I realy should have got the tracking doen to help wear them more evenly. The stock setup isnt perfect some people corner harder so will wear the outer of the tyre more but others wont so the tyre wear will be even for them.

Corning hard wears the outside of the tyres. This outside of the front left will tend to wear more as this is your "roundabout" tyre.

Tracking has been done. Wear is even both sides.

The outside edge (about 1 inch) is below the limit the rest of the tyre has 3 to 4 mm

Dont drive it like a nutter either

tbh if the tracking has been done then it must just be due to cornering as its the outside edge that takes the brunt of the wear. also its nothing to do with lowering as youll end up with more negative camber so will be more likely to wear the inner edge. dont worry about it too much as long as the centre 3/4 of the tyre are over the limit youll be fine, cops cant do anything but its normally better if you still have visible tread on the outer edges. tbh i dont tend to run tyres til they are at the wear bars as youll notice a loss of grip. normally more noticeable when pulling away from stationary in the wet when the tyres are getting low

What is the Camber measurement?

Have you had 4 wheel alignment done or just tracking?

^^^^ ...they hung bits on all 4 wheels so guessing 4 wheel alignment.

if they did 4 wheel alignment then you should have a print with all the figures for camber castor track etc for all 4 wheels

No printout so maybe it was just tracking.

surely being lowered tho the camber would be biased to wear the inside???
