tyres sizes

Mibe a daft one here guys but...

I am needing new tyres for my turinis they have 195 45 16 on atm. These tyres are hard for to find unless you have extremly deep
pockets. I can get a hold of 205 45 16 tyres for a more reasonable price.

My question is.. my cup is lowered by 35mm would these tyres rub?

Yes i have 205 45 16s on mine lowered 30mm and theres plenty of room for 35mm

No they wont rub.

195/45 are cheaper than 205/45 by a few quid on certain brands like Michelin, Pirelli etc. Not sure where your looking.

Well a 195 Michelin is like £88 and a 205 is nearly £110, i would say 195s are cheaper?

Cheap and tyres are not a combination I'd ever like to make...

Mordente10 - What tyre and at what price are you looking at specifically?

I went for 195/45 R16 instead of the 205/45 purely because they were cheaper for the equivalent premium brands. The availablity and choice of tyres to choose from was much the same I found as well. So unless you've found a genuine bargain supplier I would say it might be worth looking a bit more.

I managed to source some part worn tyres 6mm all around 2 toyos 2 michelin for 120. wikl do me just now unti i save for better brand new ones.
Cant afford to pay 88 a tyre atm.
