Would appear he chose to die at the wrong time with all the Steve Jobs hype. OS X wouldn't exist like it does today if unix was never created.

Ritchie's contribution to modern day computing and software is immense and I'm sick to death of hearing about how amazing Jobs was. Sure - he did good but so do many other CEO/CTO's and businessmen. I wonder how many folks know what a b#st#rd he was in real life... LOL! That said, I'm not knocking the guy and what he achieved; it was astounding and shaped the way things are today.

RIP Ritchie. You did good.
