Morning all,

the little push button which is mounted to the circuit board inside the key unit has broken off.
this has stopped my button from working.

can anyone help with information on how or where this could be fixed, really can't afford a new one.

I can still use the car with the key but every time I open the door my alarm goes off and will stay on until I start the car.

cheers

dave

I reckon you could solder that mate, or maybe a friend who's good at soldering could do it for you? :)

Well I have just been to my local maplin and they said the same. Although they would not do it as they claim it is againg their insurance.

I don't think I have anyone who could repair it.

when I hold it in position and click the button it does seem to work ok so I assume it is repairable.

Easy job, just needs a spot of solder. I even taped my old one on lol, was fine for months then i decided to solder it back on.

It would appear the one of the little tabs on the switch itself is broken off.

Any ideas abour repair or replacement of the switch?

Yes, soldering with a fine tipped iron will sort that. Failing that buy a new button

If you don't want to solder it you could always put a blob of super glut on the back of the button and hold it in place until stuck!

This happened to mine the other day and I just soldered it back on.

Cheers, went out and tried that. Sorted now.

Should all doors and boot lock when using a key in the drivers door? Right now I have to lock them seperatley.

Before you get out of the car open drivers door, make sure everyone is out of the car press the lock button on the dash and then get out and lock your door.
