USMT Failure

  cock mobile.
One of my technicians is having problems with a laptop that was brought to her.

Basically it was a mess, so after trying to fix it she figured the best idea was to wipe the laptop and reimage it, so just did a file and settings transfer wizard, wiped the laptop and is trying to do the file and settings back but it just won't have it.

Is there anyway to retrieve the documents from this file?

The user did tell her that he had a full back up of his work, so when asked for the backup, oh dear he lied, twit!

I was carrying my laptop this morning and someone knocked into me, ok I thought, but why the is the screen now completely fucked?!

"Well I had it half open carrying it, and I had a pritt stick in the middle"

That's a 2 month SONY laptop with an X-Black screen now basically a write off because it will be in excess of £500 to fix

LOL that explains it then. Cant you charge it to her Dept, or doesnt it work like that there. Insurance policy would surely cover that anyway?

Sent you a PM as well

Got the PM cheers.

Usually things would get charged through to departments, but for laptops it always hit me

We aren't covered for accidental damage on our insurance policy :(
